Everywhere I look I am reminded of the cyclical nature of life and things. The weather rolling in and out. The rhythm of the waves. Tides rising, retreating and returning slightly changed again and again.

I learned early on there is no use fighting the tides, sometimes you have to pick up your feet, turn yourself around and ride the waves in.

This breathtaking piece of Blue Onyx was carved during my family's 'Covid Storm Stay' in Chester, Nova Scotia and debuted in my solo exhibition: 'Carving Through the Storm - The Chester Series' July 2021.
